We shouldn’t try, we shouldn’t want to. What I really worry about is if we win — or when we win in November, which I’m working hard to make sure I support — is there this kind of muscle memory in the party? This powerful inertia that immediately puts us in the mode of “reverse the damage”? And I’m trying to purge my vocabulary of anything with the prefix of re- in it, anything with the word “back” in it. I don’t think now is the time to be talking about Build Back Better.
