FL-27 Republican loser Maria Elvira Salazar's arrogance was front and center immediately after her primary win in August

Today on Hannity's show this loser told Hannity that Hispanic people like her "make better Americans than you".

Her defeat has done nothing to put any humility in her.

Salazar beats Barreiro in GOP primary in Florida’s 27th congressional district:

“I don’t think it’s going to be hard [to win in November]. Ileana won by 10 points and she’s very much loved,” Salazar said. “It’s going to be a seamless transition between Ileana and myself.”

At an election night watch party in Westchester, Salazar was joined by Ros-Lehtinen, former U.S. Rep. Lincoln Diaz-Balart and the parents of U.S. Rep. Carlos Curbelo, who won the primary Tuesday night in Florida’s 26th Congressional District.

Paul Ryan could have passed repeal easily, but deliberately crafted a bill that wouldn't pass

The 206 Republicans in the current House of Representatives named below voted for H.R. 3762 in October 2015, repealing Obamacare with the additional votes of 33 Republicans no longer there (Mulvaney, Pompeo, Price and Zinke resigned in 2017 to serve in Trump's administration--all voted for repeal in 2015). The bill passed the House 240-189-5.

More importantly the repeal bill passed the Senate as well, winding up on Obama's desk, where Obama promptly vetoed it.

Now we're supposed to believe Paul Ryan couldn't whip this vote again, and couldn't require repeal votes from the 28 freshmen just elected in 2016. All he needed was 216 votes. He had 206 in his pocket, 206 Republicans he could publicly and effectively intimidate if he needed to, and needed only 10 more from the freshman class.

How hard was that?

We can only conclude Paul Ryan and leadership deliberately didn't bring up that repeal bill again for a vote because they knew it would pass. They obviously didn't want repeal to pass. They crafted a different bill they knew the Republican caucus would reject.

Now it is Paul Ryan who must be rejected.

The House would need 290 votes to override a Trump veto of a bill exempting "Dreamers" from deportation for three years. In the Senate 67 votes would be required. A coalition of 194 House Democrats and 60 Republicans yields just 254 votes, not enough. In the Senate 19 Republicans would have to join 48 Democrats to override a Trump veto.

So Coffman wants to ram the bill through now, before Obama no longer has his pen and telephone.

Ex-Bush Establishment Republicans swarm to Marco Rubio like flies to a rotting corpse

Throughout Monday, a string of ex-Bush backers from across the country gravitated to the Florida senator, including former Republican presidential nominee Bob Dole and Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah). In South Florida, Republican Reps. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Mario Diaz-Balart and Carlos Curbelo and former congressman Lincoln Diaz-Balart — all of whom had backed Bush — also announced their support.

Rubio also picked up supporters who previously stood in the sidelines of the race, like former Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty and Sens. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) and Thom Tillis (R-N.C.).

On the donor side, in addition to Kilberg, former ambassador Francis Rooney, who gave more than $2 million to a pro-Bush super PAC through his holding company, is now with Rubio. So is financial industry executive Muneer Satter, who also made a big investment on behalf of Bush.

New York attorney Phil Rosen, a major Republican fundraiser, said he has spent the last two days on the phone with former Bush donors now eager to join the Rubio effort.

“They have a lot of disappointment about Jeb, but they are ready to put full steam ahead for Marco,” said Rosen, who said he has gotten commitments from 15 top Bush bundlers. ...

Rubio’s backers concede that a loss in his home state to Trump would likely be a fatal blow.

James B. Comey, a top Bush Justice Department official;

David A. Stockman, President Ronald Reagan’s first budget director;

Deborah Pryce, a former member of the House Republican leadership from Ohio who is retired from Congress;

Jon M. Huntsman Jr., the former Utah governor, who favored civil unions but opposed same-sex marriage during his 2012 presidential bid;

Three Liberal Republican Defenders Of Gay Rights Defeated Last Week

Rep. Judy Biggert of Illinois, Rep. Mary Bono Mack of California and Rep. Nan Hayworth of New York, all endorsed by the Log Cabin Republicans, are gone after 2012.

Rep. Cao lost his seat in 2010. Liz Carter couldn't beat the infamous Rep. Hank Johnson in 2010. John Dennis couldn't beat the infamous Rep. Pelosi in 2010 or in 2012 in what is now CA-12. Rep. Dent was handily re-elected in 2012. Rep. Djou won the special election in 2010 and promptly lost in November of that year. Mattie Fein failed to unseat Rep. Harman in 2010. Rep. Hanna handily won in NY-22 in 2012. Rep. Lance handily won re-election in 2012. Rep. Platts retires in 2013 and so does the district, merging with PA-04. Rep. Reichert handily won re-election in 2012. Rep. Ros-Lehtinen won in 2012 in the new FL-27 district.
