... Florida Governor Ron
DeSantis signed into law a measure that gave him and other state
officials the power to designate groups as "terrorist organizations"
and expel students who support them, with rights groups saying the law
will chill free speech.
The
law empowers the state's chief of domestic security, governor and
cabinet to designate any organization they determine engages in
extremist acts as a "terrorist organization."
After
such a designation, the group can be forcibly dissolved and face a
freeze on state funding, according to the legislation. It also says that
students shall be expelled from their institution if they "promoted a
domestic terrorist organization or a foreign terrorist organization." ...
It would be an example of extremism if a voter advocated for the death penalty for Joe Biden for his immigration policy crimes, as Charlie Kirk did in July 2023.
What Joe Biden did with immigration policy, which is basically let them all in, which by the way he promised in his campaign for president in 2020 in nationally televised debates, is indeed criminal to many of us on the right. But we know that presidents get away with murder. We ought to change that, too, but presidents are in fact immune.
... the far-right American terrorist movement sees off-the-shelf or home-built first-person viewer (FPV) drones as a critical weapon in their own future war against the US government ...
... talk is commonplace of how these cheap drones are revolutionizing current wars and will be the critical tools of a so-called second civil war ...
... Multiple sources told the Guardian that the FBI has major concerns about the accelerationist neo-Nazi sect on the far right – one calling for an insurgency against the US government – and other ultra-violent actors in the same ideological space, eyeing the use of FPV drones for domestic attacks. ...

... [Joshua] Fisher-Birch first spotted the Substack and vouched for its credibility. According to him, the writer’s alleged background is not only “significant” but “violent white supremacist groups would find his drone experience to be useful”. ...
... “Friedrich Merz became the first chancellor candidate failing to be
elected in the first round of voting in the Bundestag. However, he
remains likely to win sufficient support eventually,” Carsten Nickel,
deputy director of research at Teneo, said.
Holger Schmieding, chief economist at Berenberg, described the
situation as a “bad surprise.” He echoed comments suggesting Merz would
still become chancellor eventually, but “the unprecedented failure to be
elected in the first round would still be a bad start for him.” ...
... Merz’s party, the Christian Democratic Union, has been torn over how to deal with the AfD. Merz tacitly cooperated with the party earlier this year
– despite insisting he would not – to push migration policies through
parliament. And on the local level, his party and the AfD have
cooperated on issues such as a ruling that the German flag should be
hoisted in schools. ...
... Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our Republic. ... there’s no question that the Republican Party today is dominated, driven
and intimidated by Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans. And that is a
threat to this country. ... MAGA Republicans do not respect the Constitution. They do not believe in the rule of law. ... They promote authoritarian leaders. ... They thrive on chaos. ... American
democracy only works only if we choose to respect the rule of law and
the institutions that were set up in this chamber behind me. ...
-- Joe Biden, 1 September 2022, Independence Hall, Philadelphia, PA
The voters' response to this in 2022 was to flip the Democrats' House 222 majority to a 222 Republican one.
In 2024, the Republican lead narrowed to 220-215. Special elections in Florida this week will either ratify that lead or narrow it some more.

“Donald Trump
and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very
foundations of our republic,” Mr. Biden said in a fiery Independence
Hall speech on Sept. 1, 2022, looking to shape the midterm elections.
“And here, in my view, is what is true: MAGA Republicans do not respect
the Constitution. They do not believe in the rule of law. They do not
recognize the will of the people.”
He continued: “MAGA Republicans have made their choice. They embrace
anger. They thrive on chaos. They live not in the light of truth but in
the shadow of lies. And yet history tells us that blind loyalty to a
single leader and a willingness to engage in political violence is fatal
to democracy.” ...
“Not since President Lincoln and the Civil War have freedom and
democracy been under assault here at home as they are today,” he
lamented. “What makes our moment rare is that freedom and democracy are
under attack, both at home and overseas, at the very same time.”
This is not a normal election where you want to win, if you don't, you
cooperate and do the best you can for the country and hope to win the
next time. This is something that is undermining our democracy. He must
be stopped. He cannot be president!
My organization has been highlighting this dangerous double-standard, warning Americans that the Justice Department and FBI are exploiting the FACE Act to target and harass individuals like Eva who stand in the way of their extremist agendas.
Just this month, a man named Elliot Bennet set fire to a Catholic
Church in New Jersey. This was the third time Bennet had committed acts
of violence or vandalism against the church since 2018, the 21st attack
on a Catholic Church in 2024, the 274th attack since May 2022 and the
412th attack since May 2020.
Yet the same Justice Department that is fighting to throw Eva in jail
failed to prosecute Bennet for these multiple and obvious FACE Act
violations. It has also failed to federally prosecute a single one of
the more than 400 egregious FACE Act violations against Catholic Churches since May 2020, or to meaningfully address the 90 attacks on pregnancy resource centers across the nation since May 2022.
These attacks don’t involve prayer and hymns. They’ve involved fire-bombings and arson,
vandalism of pregnancy clinics and churches, spray painted threats on
clinic and church walls, decapitated statues, smashed glass, disrupted
masses, blocking of church entrances and even physical attacks on
priests and parishioners. They have cost at least $25 million in damages
to Catholic Churches, while intimidating hundreds of peaceful Catholic
and pro-life communities.
Your Democrat choice in the race is a very white female, a progressive extremist who served in the Obama Injustice Department and who was defeated last time around by Peter Meijer.
My extremely stupid progressive neighbor had a sign out for the Democrat early in September until he figured out a couple of weeks later that our street had been re-districted out of MI-3.
The Democrat's campaign clothes her extremism in the glow of her Christian faith to make her more acceptable to the white, right of center, evangelical population around Grand Rapids.
On YouTube Gibbs seems to run one ad for every twenty the Democrats run.
Right off the bat this story lies, as usual from The New York Times, by omission:
In Michigan, Democrats took aim at the Republican nominee for governor almost immediately after the primary with a television ad highlighting her opposition to abortion, without exceptions for rape or incest. ...
Some abortion ads use the specific words and positions of Republican candidates against them. ... Some use Republicans’ unyielding stances on abortion to cast them more broadly as extremists.
The ad in Michigan actually says without exceptions for life of the mother, too, which is by itself a drive-by editing lie by "Put Michigan First".
A lie by insertion. Dixon never answered a life of the mother question that way, with "no exceptions".
You see how that works?
The New York Times sort of tells the truth about Dixon's position, which is no exceptions for rape and incest, but lies about the ad, which lies about Dixon's position by making her say something about the life of the mother which she didn't say.
Then later the former paper of record edges close to telling the truth about what's going on in the ad without actually telling you the truth about what's going on in the ad.
The chutzpah.
Democrats lie to you coming and going, and so does the New York Times, but I repeat myself.
Republicans, however, seem hopelessly, perennially, unequipped to counter this disinformation war.
