Trump 2015 called his a wall, Jeb's a fence, a big difference then, now . . . not so much

Trump, before he decided to flop around like a fish on the dock:

Jeb Bush joins Marco Rubio in calling for Brenda Snipes to be removed as Supervisor of Elections in Broward County, FL

"There is no question that Broward County Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes failed to comply with Florida law on multiple counts, undermining Floridians’ confidence in our electoral process," Bush tweeted.

"Supervisor Snipes should be removed from her office following the recounts." ...

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) is among those arguing for Snipes's dismissal.

"She has shown she’s incapable of conducting a large and important election in a way that inspires public confidence and trust," he told Politico.

"She’s been found to have destroyed ballots, in violation of the law. Opened absentee ballots early, in violation of the law. Misprinted ballots that have gone out."

Mark Krikorian: Trump does Jeb Bush impersonation, throws away his only chance to win in November, spoils it for open-borders advocates

But Trump probably just threw away his only remaining chance to win in November with Wednesday’s Jeb Bush impersonation. He won the primaries with immigration control as his marquee issue; had he stuck to his guns, and still lost, the GOP Brain Trust, not to mention the Democrats, would more plausibly have been able to argue that opposition to their agenda was the reason. It still would have been a silly claim, since had he not grabbed hold of the immigration issue, the very idea of President Trump would have remained a Simpsons joke – if he’d remained consistent and still lost, it would have been despite his immigration position, not because of it. But now that he’s channeling Little Marco and Low-Energy Jeb on immigration, that story line has evaporated. Many of the voters who stuck with him through his various antics will start drifting away, so that in any state where the results are close in November could plausibly have been won if Trump hadn’t pulled a Schumer. It’s liberating, in a sense. ... His defeat will be on his head alone.

Bob Dole endorses Trump after previously supporting Jeb Bush and questioning Ted Cruz' loyalty to the Republican Party

Sen. Dole, US Army 10th Mountain Division veteran, wounded since April 1945
Quoted here:

Former senator and 1996 Republican presidential nominee Bob Dole on Friday endorsed Donald Trump, becoming the latest GOP leader to back the real estate mogul even as others have distanced themselves from the candidate.

"The voters of our country have turned out in record numbers to support Mr. Trump," Dole said in a statement released by the Trump campaign. "It is important that their votes be honored and it is time that we support the party's presumptive nominee."

Dole had previously endorsed Jeb Bush and slammed Ted Cruz as an extremist liked by nobody in Congress. Interviewed in December here, Dole took particular exception to Ted Cruz calling Mitch McConnell a liar on the floor of the Senate.  The irony of the campaign is that Donald Trump has made that charge stick to Ted Cruz instead. There are the Ted Cruz principles, and then there are the Bob Dole principles.

Ted Cruz accepted Jeb Bush's endorsement as easily as . . .

. . . George Herbert Walker Bush accepted the Democrats' Profile in Courage Award for breaking his 1988 No New Taxes Pledge.

Speaking of the failed GOP administrations of the past, Jeb Bush endorses Ted Cruz

Jeb! folds like a house of cards

Pretty pathetic way to end it. The New York Times provides not a single statement on the record from the campaign.

Story here.

Jeb Bush deserved everything he got from Trump at the SC debate

In the run-up to this South Carolina debate, Jeb Bush said Donald Trump would make a worse president than Barack Obama.

And now Little Jebbie is surprised The Donald won't shake his hand after the debate?

Jeb deserved everything Trump said about him and more (debate transcript here). This is a war for the soul of the Republican Party, and it's high time someone had the balls to tell the Bushes to go to hell. They've been anti-Reagan from the beginning and never defended his legacy, and 41 and 43 were terrible presidents who raised taxes (41 gladly accepted the Democrats' Profiles in Courage Award for raising them), fumbled three wars, grew the size of government, actively worked against those trying to stem the tide of illegal immigration and shipped America's jobs to China by the boatload.

Under George's watch the World Trade Center came down to kick off his presidency, and to end it he proudly announced that he had abandoned free market principles in order to save the free market system!

Republicans need to be rid of the Bushes once and for all.

Jeb Bush, the Obamacare pot, calls the kettle John Kasich black for expanding Obamacare in Ohio

Tenet Healthcare stock while Jeb Bush was a director

The Hill reports here:

The “telling thing” about Kasich, Bush said, is that “when he had a chance, he expanded ObamaCare through Medicaid. Governors across this country had a chance to take a stand against ObamaCare, many did. In Ohio it was expanded, and he’ll have to explain that down here, where ObamaCare, people want it repealed, they don’t want it expanded,” Bush added.

Bush made a small fortune as a Tenet Healthcare director from 2007-2014, a company which profited from increased utilization of hospital services under Obamacare. He conveniently sold the bulk of his stock near its peak during his tenure, at the beginning of October 2014. The stock has more than halved since then.

Little Jebbie Bush's March to the Sea: We will be worse off with Trump than we are now with Obama

Quoted here, destroying whatever possibility there might have been for a truce between the Establishment and Trump:

“We will be worse off than we are now” with Trump as president, Bush said.

That's rich coming from someone who profiteered off of Obamacare while the rest of us were trying to stop it.

Little Jebbie spent $36 million in New Hampshire to come in . . . fourth

Reported here:

Cruz’s third-place finish also reflected badly on Rubio and Bush. Cruz spent less than $600,000 in the state yet finished ahead of fourth-place Bush who, between his super PAC and campaign, spent as much as $36 million on television. Rubio spent about $15 million and finished in a close fifth.
