Financial Times, 8/28/16: "Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee, is backed by the pro-western government that took power after Mr Yanukovich was ousted"

The prospect of Mr Trump, who has praised Ukraine’s arch-enemy Vladimir Putin, becoming leader of the country’s biggest ally has spurred not just Mr Leshchenko but Kiev’s wider political leadership to do something they would never have attempted before: intervene, however indirectly, in a US election.

The FBI is in a shambles, but the DOJ is a complete train wreck

A 63-page report released last month found "numerous issues" with the FBI's use of confidential sources during a period that included the 2016 election. That report revealed that the FBI lacked appropriate procedures to vet and maintain oversight of sources like the ones used against the Trump campaign. This created a security risk for the United States. Yet no prosecutions have been announced.

Last August, an even more serious finding was released when the IG determined that the FBI director himself [James Comey] had violated FBI policy and the terms of his own employment agreement in disseminating classified information for release to the media. Though the DOJ could have prosecuted based on the report's findings, it declined to do so.

A May 2019 IG report implicated the FBI deputy assistant director for unauthorized contacts with the media, illegally disclosing sealed court documents and other sensitive information to the media, and accepting gifts from the media. The DOJ declined to prosecute. But why? The IG recommended prosecution.

The IG's June 2018 probe into the Hillary Clinton email investigation implicated the FBI's head of counterintelligence, Peter Strzok, of repeatedly articulating a strong political bias even as he headed up the investigation of Clinton's exposure of classified information. The 500-page report, which reviewed 1.2 million documents and included interviews with more than 100 witnesses, documented numerous questionable decisions that benefited Clinton or damaged Trump, though the IG acknowledged the parties denied their political bias impacted their decisions.

Finally, an April 2018 report implicated FBI Assistant Director Andrew McCabe of inappropriately authorizing the disclosure of sensitive information to a reporter and repeatedly lying to investigators about it. The report found McCabe lied four times, three under oath, and that it was done "in a manner designed to advance his personal interests at the expense of Department leadership." Though McCabe was fired, he wasn't prosecuted.

The story is here.

Two months before Trump was elected the Financial Times reported Ukraine's wider political leadership was working to elect Hillary

This is five months before the Politico story in January 2017 which Ukraine NATO boosters like Fiona Hill pretend doesn't exist.

Politico 1/11/17: Ukrainian efforts to sabotage Trump backfire: Kiev scrambling to make amends after working to boost Hillary

Democrats colluded with Ukraine to get Paul Manafort and damage Trump and have tried to deflect this ever since by charging Trump colluded with Russia, which is exactly what you would expect to hear from people colluding with Ukraine.

You'll hear more deflection today from British-born Fiona Hill.

Still my favorite illustration of quid pro quo comes from Ann Coulter's observation about Hillary

Hillary's main claim to fame is that she was married to the horny hick, and then stood by him when he was impeached for the most embarrassing sex scandal in history. By feminist logic, that meant Hillary was owed the presidency. Quid pro 'ho.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Queen of Bribery: Donors to Clinton Foundation got special, expedited access

Still selling the Lincoln bedroom:

Crown Prince Salman of Bahrain requested a meeting with Secretary of State Clinton, he was forced to go through the Clinton Foundation for an appointment. Abedin advised Band that when she went through “normal channels” at State, Clinton declined to meet. After Band intervened, however, the meeting was set up within forty-eight hours.

Devin Nunes drops the bomb on Democrats in impeachment opening for redacting name of Alexandra Chalupa from testimony transcripts

“Violating their own guidelines, the Democrats repeatedly redacted from the transcripts the name of Alexandra Chalupa, a contractor for the Democratic National Committee who worked with Ukrainian officials to collect dirt on the Trump campaign, which she provided to the DNC and the Hillary Clinton campaign,” Nunes said. ...

Chalupa reportedly worked with CIA officer Eric Ciaramella — who RealClearInvestigations has named as the likely identity of the impeachment “whistleblower” — and visited the Obama White House 27 times, according to official visitor logs.

Paul Sperry identifies so-called whistleblower, links him to DNC Ukraine colluder Alexandra Chalupa, puts her at Obama's White House in November 2015, much earlier than previously admitted

And Ciaramella worked with a Democratic National Committee operative who dug up dirt on the Trump campaign during the 2016 election, inviting her into the White House for meetings, former White House colleagues said. The operative, Alexandra Chalupa, a Ukrainian-American who supported Hillary Clinton, led an effort to link the Republican campaign to the Russian government. “He knows her. He had her in the White House,” said one former co-worker, who requested anonymity to discuss the sensitive matter.

Documents confirm the DNC opposition researcher attended at least one White House meeting with Ciaramella in November 2015.  She visited the White House with a number of Ukrainian officials lobbying the Obama administration for aid for Ukraine. ...

In his complaint, the whistleblower charged that the president used “the power of his office to solicit interference from a foreign country in the 2020 U.S. election.”  Specifically, he cited a controversial July 25 phone call from the White House residence in which Trump asked Ukraine’s new president to help investigate the origins of the Russia “collusion” investigation the Obama administration initiated against his campaign, citing reports that “a lot of it started with Ukraine," where the former pro-Hillary Clinton regime in Kiev worked with Obama diplomats and Chalupa to try to “sabotage” Trump’s run for president.

Alexander Vindman is a Ukrainian-American who thinks Ukraine should be NATO's spearhead poking Putin's ass

Go ahead and impeach Trump over a foreign policy difference. That's what this whole thing has been about from the beginning anyway. Hillary Clinton, DNC, John McCain, Neo-con NeverTrump, the whole lot of them hate Trump for this. The American people decided otherwise in 2016. It's their foreign policy Vindman and the rest want to impeach. GFY!
