Recent absentee ballot rejection rates according to Ballotpedia are lower than expected
Recent absentee ballot rejection rates according to Ballotpedia:
2024: 1.2%
2022: 1.5%
2020: 0.8%
2018: 1.4%
2016: 1.0%.
The New York Times indicated in October 2012 that rejection rates for absentee ballots are typically closer to 2.0%, double what they are for in-person voting. The closest we recently got to 2.0% was in 2022, but still lower than 2.0% by half a point, and the massive mail-in vote in 2020 arguably should have produced a rejection rate higher than 2.0%. Instead we got the lowest rejection rate yet, 0.8%.
That doesn't make any sense.
Error and Fraud at Issue as Absentee Voting Rises
... Nationwide, the use of absentee ballots and other forms of voting by mail has more than tripled since 1980 and now accounts for almost 20 percent of all votes.
Yet votes cast by mail are less likely to be counted, more likely to be compromised and more likely to be contested than those cast in a voting booth, statistics show. Election officials reject almost 2 percent of ballots cast by mail, double the rate for in-person voting.
“The more people you force to vote by mail,” Mr. Sancho said, “the more invalid ballots you will generate.” ...

LA Mayoral race: How does the percentage of the vote counted go down 7 points in 3.5 hours lol?!
LA's problems are worse than you imagined!
But look at the other California races.
Results for Congressional District 7 were 50% counted at 1212 PM, but only 45% counted at 338 PM!
District 22 went down too, from 67% to 61%.
The race for governor went from 62% counted to 57%.
District 6 went from 55% to 50%.
And District 14 went from 51% counted to 47% counted.
As time goes by in California, they just keep finding more votes to count I guess, unlike in the rest of America.

Trump's voting legislation faces defeat in the U.S. Senate next week
Trump is convinced illegal aliens vote in large enough numbers to prevent Republicans from winning even though he and the Republicans swept into office in 2024 and control the executive and legislative branches of government.
Trump-backed SAVE America Act will get a Senate vote next week, Thune says
The legislation is expected to fail unless a change is made to the filibuster, which requires 60 votes on most measures considered by the Senate. ...
For months Trump, GOP hardliners and online influencers like Elon Musk have railed against opponents of the bill and called repeatedly for a change to the Senate filibuster rule to ensure passage in the upper chamber. Thune supports the legislation but has rejected those calls, saying changing Senate procedure could have unintended consequences. Speaking from the Senate floor Thursday, he made no mention of changing the chamber’s rules, all but assuring the proposal will not pass. ...
Anticipating the bill’s failure in the Senate, Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, who introduced the legislation, and other proponents have engaged in a pressure campaign to revert back to a “standing filibuster,” which requires dissenting members to actively hold the Senate floor to block legislation and could, in theory, allow for the passage of the bill with a simple 50-vote majority. ...

Some of the commenters on this video snarl over the absence of such protests in Minnesota over the $9 billion fraud schemes, not realizing that this street theatre is costing them $75 billion
The ICE agents in this video twice fail to find open doors on their own vehicles to dump their detainees in, the incompetence being a metaphor for the ultimate failure all this sound and fury will turn out to be, when in the end ICE will be lucky to have deported only 2.4 million of the now 25 million illegal aliens Trump says are present in the United States.
The rapidity with which one man has turned the relatively quiet streets of America into a heretofore only imagined police state exposes yet another failure of the American system of government to prevent the abuse of power.
If it were not so, this would not be happening.

In your guts you know he's nuts
Here.
And no, we're not afraid of him. We just loathe him, that's all. He's not one of us.
If we have to vote Democrat for the first time in our lives to stop him, we will. If Russell Kirk could do it in 1976, so can we. William F. Buckley Jr championed Democrat Joe Lieberman in 1988. If Gavin Newsom can support Thomas Massie in 2025, we can also be tactical in 2026. It doesn't mean we're getting married. Dividing political power intentionally is the genius of America. It's only ideologues who think you are who you vote for.
That others saw through this fraud long before us is to their credit. We should learn from them. It is no shame to be mistaken, only not to learn from one's mistakes.
The country is only marginally in Trump's hands. He can be defeated easily a year from now, and he must be.
Conservatism has always been counter-revolutionary.

Liberals are upset with Trump's EO on elections because it threatens to withhold federal money from jurisdictions which don't crack down on voting by non-citizens
Whether liberals will address this head on, however, remains to be seen. They may simply challenge the meddling of the executive in a matter the constitution reserves to the states.
The Supreme Court has consistently deferred on this to the states, even during all the election controversy of 2020, rebuffing Trump over and over again, and is likely to do so again, which would be yet another defeat for Trump.
The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.
-- Article I, Section 4, clause 1
Trump promises more EOs on elections in the future.
He's already issued 100 of them. And the next guy can issue 100 overturning them.
This is all theatre. Republicans' narrow majorities in the House and Senate make any of these becoming permanent law extremely unlikely.

Government belt-tightening theatre at CNBC: Social Security new proofing procedures requiring in person visits are a joke, a costly upheaval designed to stop a puny problem
As the Social Security Administration seeks to curb identity fraud, more people will now be required to visit an office to prove their identity for new benefit claims and direct deposit changes. ... The changes are aimed at helping to avoid the fraudulent redirection of benefit checks, which the agency has been warning about for years. ... SSA estimates the agency is now losing more than $100 million per year due to direct deposit fraud. ... The change may require foot traffic to Social Security offices nationwide to increase by about 75,000 to 85,000 more in-person visitors per week, according to reports on an internal Social Security Administration memo. ... The AARP, an interest group that represents Americans ages 50 and over, urged the Social Security Administration to reverse the decision.
In fiscal 2024 Social Security paid out $1.35 trillion in benefits. $100 million is 0.0074% of that!
I predict that the costs of this silliness will exceed the savings.

Steve Bannon pleads guilty to one count of first degree scheme to defraud in New York in plea deal to avoid trial and jail
Trump pardoned Bannon on the federal charges literally at the 11th hour in January 2021, but not Bannon's partners, who all went to the big house.
New York State went after Bannon separately.

Democrats sound the dog-whistle to legal and illegal aliens to go vote, Chinese non-citizen shows them all how to commit vote fraud at a polling place in Michigan
The Chinese man – a student at the University of Michigan – cast his ballot on Sunday and then reached out to local election officials later that day in an attempt to get the ballot back, according to a source familiar with the situation.
The man registered to vote at the polling place on Sunday, the source said. He used his university ID and other documents to demonstrate his residency in Ann Arbor while filling out a same-day voter registration forms, the source said. The Detroit News first reported the details. ...
WELL WHY WOULD HE DO THAT?
He's the sacrificial lamb, that's why.
All he risks is deportation for committing perjury and vote fraud. But there are millions of people here right now who should be deported for breaking the immigration law but Democrats won't enforce that law.
That's what's going on here: Don't admit you did it like this lunatic did and presto, nothing to prosecute!
But there is no mechanism to detect such lying, and Democrats aren't interested in creating one.
The rest of us are chumps, showing up with our drivers licenses thinking our id protects the integrity of the system when the system was deliberately designed with this giant same day registration loophole you could drive the entire communist party of China through.
The whole episode is a vote fraud instruction manual.
I wonder how much they paid him.
It appears that the student’s vote can’t be nullified after the fact and will be counted.
Washtenaw County Clerk Lawrence Kestenbaum told CNN ballots can’t be retrieved once they have gone through the tabulator. Unlike vote-by-mail, ballots cast at in-person voting locations don’t contain any identifying information about the individual voter, making it impossible to determine which one belonged to the student, Kestenbaum said.
“There’s a box of ballots underneath the tabulator and all of the ballots — they all look the same … there’s no way to go back and undo it,” Kestenbaum said in an interview.
Experts said this is a standard election procedure to maintain secrecy.
The story is here.
Yeah, let's blame the secret ballot now.

Tim Walz locked down Minnesota for 15 months based on an hysterical projection of COVID deaths, and presided over $500 million of George Floyd rioting damage and $250 million of Somali COVID fraud
On taking office in 2019, Gov. Walz was restrained by a one-seat Republican majority in the state Senate—until Covid hit in the spring of 2020. He declared a state of emergency on March 25, 2020, and ruled by decree for 15 months. He proclaimed the emergency on the basis of an allegedly sophisticated Minnesota Model projection of the virus’s course in the state. In fact, the projection reflected a weekend’s work by graduate students at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. Relying on their research, Mr. Walz presented a scenario in which an estimated 74,000 Minnesotans would perish from the virus. The following week the Star Tribune reported that with the lockdown Mr. Walz ordered, 50,000 would die. Maybe it would have been preferable to address the virus through democratic means.
Having destroyed jobs and impeded life routines, including family get-togethers and church attendance, Mr. Walz finally let his one-man rule lapse on July 1, 2021. When the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center stopped counting in March 2023, the deaths of 14,870 Minnesotans were attributed to the virus. (In 2020 I successfully sued the administration for excluding me from Health Department press briefings on Covid.)
During the state of emergency, protests broke out in Minneapolis on Memorial Day 2020 following the death of George Floyd. That Thursday, rioters burned Minneapolis’s Third Precinct police station to the ground. Mr. Walz didn’t deploy the National Guard until the weekend. Riots, arson and looting throughout the Twin Cities caused about $500 million in damage.
Minnesota leads the nation in Covid fraud. Under the auspices of the Feeding Our Future nonprofit, its founder, Aimee Bock, allegedly recruited mostly young Somali men to seek reimbursement for millions of meals supposedly served to poor students and families. According to indictments handed up by a grand jury to U.S. Attorney Andrew Luger, Ms. Bock and others allegedly defrauded the state and federal government of $250 million. Ms. Bock has pleaded not guilty to the fraud charges.
Oh yeah, and Tim Walz thinks Ilhan Omar is just wonderful.

Rasmussen: 17% of mail-in voters in 2020 admit voting in a state in which they were no longer a permanent resident
Election officials report that of 159 million ballots cast in 2020, more than 68 million were submitted by mail, about 43 percent of the total. In addition, as the MIT Election Data and Science Lab noted, “the dramatic increase in the raw number of absentee ballots cast was accompanied by a significant decrease in the overall absentee rejection rate for the country: from 0.96 percent in 2016 to 0.79 percent in 2020.”
If the recent Heartland Institute/Rasmussen survey is accurate and one in five ballots were, in fact, fraudulent, that would suggest greater than 13 million ballots should not have been counted nationwide in 2020. That’s far more than the margin of victory for President Biden in the popular vote, about 7 million. ...
Another survey conducted in March and April by the Heartland Institute and Rasmussen shows that 28 percent of likely voters now say they would commit at least one form of illegal voting during the 2024 election, “if given the opportunity.” Interestingly, respondents’ willingness to commit fraud was similar among Republicans, Democrats, and independents.
