Ilhan Omar is the Somali-American version of Hank Johnson, except she's armed with a dagger

The Weathermen blew themselves up, too. I'll take stupid over stupid and vicious anyday.

Imagine A World Without Balloons? How About One Without Idiots?

Another remove-all-doubt moment from the irrepressible Rep. Hank Johnson of Georgia, here, on "helium", one of America's "real concerns".

Rep. Maxine Waters Is A Complete Moron, Just Like Rep. Hank Johnson

Rep. Maxine Waters obviously has no idea about the size and scope of the American working population. She states here that 170 million jobs will be lost if tomorrow's spending cuts go through.

If you simply check here, you'll discover that there are fewer than 152 million Americans working at all jobs as far as the Social Security Administration is concerned. Pretty shocking for an elected US representative not to know that, and pretty shocking that she thinks we'll all be without jobs in an instant because of a puny spending cut. By her reckoning, the WHOLE DAMN COUNTRY will become unemployed tomorrow because we cut 2% from federal spending. Even more shocking is it that this gets reported with a straight face. But then you remember that we have a congressman from Atlanta who thinks Guam might tip over if we station too many troops on one side of it, the estimable Rep. Johnson.

Three Liberal Republican Defenders Of Gay Rights Defeated Last Week

Rep. Judy Biggert of Illinois, Rep. Mary Bono Mack of California and Rep. Nan Hayworth of New York, all endorsed by the Log Cabin Republicans, are gone after 2012.

Rep. Cao lost his seat in 2010. Liz Carter couldn't beat the infamous Rep. Hank Johnson in 2010. John Dennis couldn't beat the infamous Rep. Pelosi in 2010 or in 2012 in what is now CA-12. Rep. Dent was handily re-elected in 2012. Rep. Djou won the special election in 2010 and promptly lost in November of that year. Mattie Fein failed to unseat Rep. Harman in 2010. Rep. Hanna handily won in NY-22 in 2012. Rep. Lance handily won re-election in 2012. Rep. Platts retires in 2013 and so does the district, merging with PA-04. Rep. Reichert handily won re-election in 2012. Rep. Ros-Lehtinen won in 2012 in the new FL-27 district.

See the Politico story here for a list of all incumbents of both parties who lost last week.

Congress Votes to Purge Phrase "Mental Retardation"

According to this report:

Disabilities advocates are applauding Congress for passing legislation that eliminates the term "mental retardation" from federal laws.

The phrase can still be used on this blog according to the editor, especially as a synonym for "member of Congress," as in "A congressman who thinks an island can tip over if it gets too populated on one side of it is a mental retard."

"My Fear Is That The Whole Island . . . Will Tip Over And Capsize"

The video is here.
