Twelve years ago under Bush 43 52.36% of Americans had full-time jobs, today just 50.72% do, a deficit of 4.242 million full-time jobs
It's not an economic boom today anymore than September 2007 was, but after the catastrophe of 2008-2009 and the Obama years, some are just relieved that the torturer has stopped visiting their jail cells and mistake that for freedom.

Average miles traveled on US roads in 2019 through July looks flat compared with 2018
To put the complicated calculation in a nutshell, travel per person 16 years old and over averaged about 12,497 miles for the first seven months of 2019. The full year average for 2018 was 12,483.
So despite there being more cars on the road and population growing and a so-called economic boom, road travel has plateaued.

You are free to move about the country, but you are not, at least not like you were in a car.

The number of registered light vehicles in operation in the U.S. hit a record of more than 278 million this year, an increase of more than 5.9 million, or 2.2 percent.
IHS Markit began tracking the age of vehicles in 2002, when the average age was 9.6 years.

Support for impeachment of Trump highest ever in Monmouth poll at 44%, up from 35% in August
At this time, 44% of Americans feel that Trump should be impeached and compelled to leave the presidency, while 52% disagree with this course of action. These numbers mark a shift from Monmouth’s prior poll in August (35% supported impeachment and 59% did not), but it is not the first time these results have been found in the two years Monmouth has been asking this question. This includes similar findings in March 2019 (42% for impeachment and 54% against) and July 2017 (41% for impeachment and 53% against). Current support for removing Trump from office comes from 77% of Democrats (up from 69% in August but similar to 75% in March), 41% of independents (up from 30% in August but similar to 40% in March), and 9% of Republicans (up from 2% in August but similar to 8% in March).

Your next president, Elizabeth Warren, will give a blanket amnesty to every illegal alien in the country, and make them union members!
We need a pathway to citizenship for the people who are here and here to stay. They are our neighbors; they are our brothers and sisters. They are here. We need a path — not just for DREAMers — but also a path for grandmas, and for little kids, and for people who came here to work on farms, and for students who overstayed their visas. We need a path that is fair and achievable. Bring people out of the shadows. It is good for all workers, and we need to get them into our unions.

Quinnipiac poll: Unfavorable ratings for Warren and Biden are up bigly among non-Democrat voters since May
Both Warren and Biden have increased their unfavorable ratings among non-Democrat voters to 70% in September since May.
Warren's unfavorables are up 4 points from 66% to 70%.
Biden's unfavorables are up more bigly, 7 points, from 63% in May to 70% now.
Warren is up big with Democrats only over the period, replacing Bernie as the dog nipping at Biden's heels.

When George Washington warned America in his Farewell about entangling foreign alliances, he meant Ukraine
The political divide in this country is in part characterized by those fanatics in both parties who have wanted to bring Ukraine into NATO, like Hillary Clinton and John McCain, and the cooler heads who realize NATO on the doorstep of Russia is a provocation.
That's what this is really all about.
Trump once represented the latter group, but of course he's a nincompoop who can barely string two coherent sentences together about anything. Don't expect that to change anytime soon.
The political divide is also characterized in part by those who insist America is a nation of immigrants and by those who insist on assimilation. The immigrant side unfortunately brings all the quarrels and divisions of the home countries onto American soil, which disturbs domestic tranquility.
Time for ya'll to follow our first president on this.

from December 2015 through June 2016, told me he was instructed by the
ambassador and his top deputy to meet with Chalupa in March 2016 and to
gather whatever dirt Ukraine had in its government files about Trump and

“She said the DNC wanted to collect evidence that Trump, his
organization and Manafort were Russian assets, working to hurt the U.S.
and working with [Russian President Vladimir] Putin against the U.S.
interests. She indicated if we could find the evidence they would
introduce it in Congress in September and try to build a case that Trump
should be removed from the ballot, from the election,” he recalled.
After the meeting, Telizhenko said he became concerned about the
legality of using his country’s assets to help an American political
party win a U.S. election. But he proceeded with his assignment.
Telizhenko said that as he began his research, he discovered that
Fusion GPS was nosing around Ukraine, seeking similar information, and
he believed they, too, worked for the Democrats.

There's only one whistleblower, someone who admits he or she did not hear the call or read the transcript.
Lots of people actually heard the call with Ukraine, but none of them has blown a whistle.
Most people see nothing wrong with Trump's phone call with Ukraine.
