ROFLMAO: Iceland has way over 75% of its population fully-vaccinated but is now experiencing a coronavirus moonshot outbreak

Herd immunity schmamunity.

If vaccines are supposed to prevent illness, these aren't vaccines.

h/t Alex Berenson

The CDC Follies

First we were told, most publicly by Fauci in February 2020, that masks won't protect you from the COVID virus. Wash your hands, we were told. Fauci lied to us because PPE was in short supply and was needed by hospitals. They were trying to conserve supplies for hospital workers, because masks work in hospitals, you know.

After the first hospitalization wave subsided, masking gradually became cool again. People wanted to get out and about, so wearing a mask and practicing social distancing became the default position. The authorities realized this would help to keep a lid on things while vaccines were developing.

America divided over this politically, to state the obvious.

When the vaccines began to roll out in late December, the same psychology took over. The vaccine, like a mask, became a ticket back to normalcy. At first, however, the CDC had said a mask would still be necessary after vaccination, but eventually bowed to pressure from freedom advocates, and to overcome the vaccine hesitancy into which the advice to keep wearing a mask kept feeding. The authorities finally relented in May after vaccination enthusiasm had peaked in April and declined quickly, and said the vaccinated could in fact retire their masks after all.

This was too little, too late.

The share of population dosed at least once moved fewer than ten points from mid-May to July 4th, from 47% to 55%.

The Biden administration severely undershot its goal of 70% vaccinated by July 4th. It completely miscalculated that vaccine enthusiasm would peak in mid-April.

But now, two months since May, the CDC today is back to saying that masking is necessary after vaccination, ostensibly because the India variant is so virulent that even vaccinated people could still catch it and transmit it.

Talk about poking the hornets' nest.

The real reason is that breakthrough cases at elite levels are calling attention to a wider spread phenomenon everyone knows about anecdotally but can't quantify because the CDC in May conveniently refused to count all the breakthrough cases like it counts cases generally. These vaccines are failing all over the place in the basic sense of preventing illness.

Of course, this isn't going to convince anyone to get vaccinated, because vaccines are supposed to prevent illness, and if they aren't, well, why bother?

These aren't real vaccines like the childhood vaccines are real vaccines. Their power peters out quickly and people can and do get COVID-19 anyway. At best these are therapeutic medications which might turn out to be appropriate for certain people, but certainly not as a panacea for the whole nation.

NBC actually did a pretty good story laying out many of these details, here, draped in the usual propaganda.

The future outlook, unfortunately, remains very uncertain.

US COVID-19 hospitalizations have soared 143% in less than a month

US COVID-19 hospitalizations have soared 143% in less than a month, from 12.2k on June 27 to 29.6k on July 23.

Peak hospitalization was 133.2k on January 14, falling to 33.2k on March 20, or 75%.

Vaccination levels on March 20 were merely 13% fully vaccinated and 24% dosed once vs. 49% and 56% respectively right now.

The vaccines had little if anything to do with the declines then and are not preventing the rise now.

Texas, California, Florida and Missouri are the states with the highest numbers of hospitalized, roughly 3.9k, 2.5k, 1.7k, and 1.7k respectively.

Prevalence of variants is mixed in Texas and Florida, where it is not obvious that the India variant is to blame as it appears to be in Missouri. And shouldn't California have more hospitalized than Texas if the India variant is so much more serious and clearly more dominant?

Texas: 43/38% India/UK.

California: 50/23% India/UK.

Florida: 34/39% India/UK.

Missouri: 52/9% India/UK.

Delta schmelta, what we really need to worry about is the Delta Tau Chi variant

Alex Berenson: COVID-19 deaths started dropping long before most people had received shots

Vaccine advocates rarely acknowledge the fact that deaths started dropping long before most people had received shots. In reality, even acknowledging that many people who received vaccines in January and February were older and vulnerable, seasonality and herd immunity seem to have had a greater impact on broad Covid trends than vaccinations.

More.

You idiots who attend the Vaccine Church have just helped mint 9 new pharma-billionaires

Pandemic sweeps the nation.

Fascist America under Trump mobilizes pharmaceutical industry to rush vaccines into development, investing billions of dollars in the efforts.

Industry resurrects a discredited drug delivery mechanism and calls it a vaccine. Smelling $$$, it prepares for mass vaccination but doesn't run trials proportionate to that effort, and then cuts off the placebo arm prematurely, making a complete hash of it.

Government gives Emergency Use Authorization, not FDA Approval, to permit these corporations to experiment on the US population during an "emergency".

The corporations, and the government, are exempted from liability.

A fearful population whipped into a hysteria by propaganda paid for with borrowed dollars lines up like sheep to take the vaccine under a new administration but the same old fascism.

Presto! 9 new billionaires:

The 9 new vaccine billionaires, in order of their net worth are:

  1. Stéphane Bancel, Moderna’s CEO (worth $4.3 billion)
  2. Ugur Sahin, CEO and co-founder of BioNTech (worth $4 billion)
  3. Timothy Springer, an immunologist and founding investor of Moderna (worth $2.2bn)
  4. Noubar Afeyan, Moderna’s Chairman (worth $1.9 billion)
  5. Juan Lopez-Belmonte, Chairman of ROVI, a company with a deal to manufacture and package the Moderna vaccine (worth $1.8 billion)
  6. Robert Langer, a scientist and founding investor in Moderna (worth $1.6 billion)
  7. Zhu Tao, co-founder and chief scientific officer at CanSino Biologics (worth $1.3 billion)
  8. Qiu Dongxu, co-founder and senior vice president at CanSino Biologics (worth $1.2)
  9. Mao Huihua, also co-founder and senior vice president at CanSino Biologics (worth $1 billion)

The 8 vaccine billionaires who saw their wealth increase are:
Name Role/description $ billions 2021 $ billions 2020
Jiang Rensheng & family Chair, Zhifei Biological products $ 24.40 $ 7.60
Cyrus Poonawalla Founder, Serum Institute of India $ 12.70 $ 8.20
Tse Ping Sinopharm $ 8.90 $ 7.30
Wu Guanjiang Co-founder, Zhifei Biological products $ 5.10 $ 1.80
Thomas Struengmann & family Portfolio includes Germany's BioNTech and Uruguay's Mega Pharma $ 11.00 $ 9.60
Andreas Struengmann & family Portfolio includes Germany's BioNTech and Uruguay's Mega Pharma $ 11.00 $ 9.60
Pankaj Patel Controls listed company Cadila Healthcare. The company now manufactures drugs to treat Covid-19 such as Remdesivir from Gilead. Its Covid-19 vaccine, ZyCoV-D, is undergoing clinical trials. $ 5.00 $ 2.90
Patrick Soon-ShiongImmunityBio - selected for the US federal government's "Operation Warp Speed" to help quickly develop a Covid-19 vaccine.$ 7.50$ 6.40

Why is the US Vaccine Church pushing mandatory jabs instead of celebrating its amazing success?

TL;dr: fascism.

The data are clear.

Deaths from COVID-19 have been in free-fall from the January peak when over 95k perished to just over 10k dead in June, with July poised to come in even lower than that, near 6.5k.

The Vaccine Church should be CROWING over this success, especially when it accomplished this feat with just 36% vaccinated with one dose and only 22% fully vaccinated on April 13, the date of peak US vaccination.

April's not quite 24k deaths were equivalent to last year's lows in June, September and October.

And May, June and July 2021 are coming in even lower than that, now that vaccination levels have reached about 50% of the population.

Instead the Vaccine Church is wringing its hands about the Indian variant and preaching, preaching, preaching to the people to get vaccinated, and using borrowed funds by the billion to do it, too.

The Vaccine Church knows the vaccines had damn little to do with this decline in deaths, and has too much invested in this fascist scheme to look back now.

To California oil is like slavery and must be banned everywhere

But Californians see Texas as a mortal threat not merely to their state’s business model and way of life but to humanity itself. Drilling is killing. Texas cannot be allowed to be Texas because if Texans get their way, the planet will superheat, destroying us all. You may think that’s ridiculous hyperbole, and maybe it is, but Californians believe it and will not be talked out of it. Hence peaceful coexistence is, for them, possible only on their terms.

The Golden State is no longer down with living and letting live but must impose its will, against the express wishes of others, in fundamentally transformative ways. There’s a word for that.

But Michael Anton can't see how this is just like Lincoln in the North imposing his will on the South in 1861. A Lincoln worshiper in denial.

California is nothing if not Lincolnesque.

FBI had at least a dozen "informants" involved prodding along the Gov. Whitmer kidnap plot

But as it was revealed that the FBI had at least a dozen informants heavily involved in the Watchmen — including that Iraq veteran — critics say the G-Men did as much to prod the plot as they did to prevent it from happening in the first place.

The agents took an active part in the scheme from its inception, according to court filings, evidence and dozens of interviews examined by BuzzFeed. Some members of the Wolverine Watchmen are accusing the feds of entrapment. ...

Since the 9/11 attacks, the FBI has reportedly recruited thousands of informants. Some, according to a recent investigation in The New York Times that centered on the dubious arrest and conviction of the so-called “Herald Square Bomber” by the use of an informant, said they were retaliated against if they refused. ...

Coulson said he and others are “very upset” the FBI hasn’t arrested anti-government and anti-fascist protesters who have been leading violent demonstrations in Portland and Seattle for more than a year — yet are bearing down so hard on those arrested for the insurrection at the Capitol.

Read it all here.

Looks more and more like a replay of the FBI's Michigan Hutaree Militia fiasco from 2010.

"Insurrectionists" were on the FBI payroll

The so-called “Proud Boys,” often cited as a “far-Right” organization and said to be somehow responsible for January 6, was led by one Enrique Tarrio, an FBI informant. The so-called Oath Keepers, the group most cited and said by government sources to be most involved in that day’s events, is led by one Stewart Rhodes, another FBI asset.

In fact, the Justice Department lists some 15 participants in the event against whom it brings no charges, either for “insurrection” or even for trespassing, because these individuals are paid infiltrators. They work for the FBI or other U.S. intelligence agencies. The U.S. government refuses to expose what these persons did because they did it on the government’s behalf.

More.

The FBI never changes. Its sting operations are legion, without which it would have no successes. It should be abolished.

Nationally there was a case spike peaking 4/13/21

Peak vaccination nationally occurred on . . .  4/13/21 !

Testing was low but had popped to 5.2% nationally on 4/13
And hospitalizations nationally briefly stopped months of progress by 4/20

Another rotten FBI agent makes the news, this one from Indiana and a little higher up the food chain, and involving the MSU sex abuse scandal

Enjoying a comfortable retirement and a lucrative pension, this is the disgraced FBI chief who is accused of chasing a $400,000 Olympic security job instead of pursuing pedophile doctor Larry Nassar.

William Jay Abbott, the former Special Agent in Charge of the bureau's Indianapolis field office, was alerted to Nassar's sickening abuse of young athletes in summer 2015.

But a recent report by the Justice Department's inspector general revealed Abbott failed to take the complaint seriously or warn authorities at Michigan State University, allowing the former USA Gymnastics physician to continue molesting patients for a further 13 months.

The FBI rank and file are as bad as the leadership: Close the whole thing down

We keep hearing in FBI's defense that all the problems are at the top, but that the rank and file are God's gift to America.

Well, not in Kalamazoo.

An FBI agent at the center of the investigation into the plot to kidnap and kill Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is accused of smashing his wife's head against a nightstand and choking her after a dispute stemming from their attendance at a swingers' party, according to court records.

LOL, Ben Stein, cheerleader for "corporations are people", has decided that America has only just now become a fascist state

Now, in the year 2021, the iron curtain has come down hard. With Big Internet Tech and the White House now admittedly colluding to identify and suppress dissidents, even completely nonviolent dissidents, we no longer have a Constitution.

There is just one big corporate–government–IngSoc superstate running everything. Goodbye, America. The GOP, with 50 senators, does nothing. The state legislatures, by far a majority GOP, and the spineless Supreme Court do nothing. And so goodbye to the greatest experiment in the history of the world.

More.

Gee, what's the problem, Ben?

“Liberals don’t understand that corporations are people,” columnist Ben Stein wrote back in 1974. “They are the people who work for the corporation, buy its products, and own its stock. There is no mechanical person who is benefited if corporations make a good profit. Real people benefit, just as real people lose when corporations lose money.” True enough. But it is also true that corporations have as much of a vested interest in the political system (if not more) . . ..

Here.

The corporation in America was the creation of the King of England. Virginia was but one example of thirteen. The damn things rebelled. Samuel Johnson tried to explain it to us, but it, shall we say, kinda went over our heads, and where it didn't was met with what they would come to call a generous demonstration of disapprobation.

And so, what goes around comes around. Or as Reverend Wright would put it, "America's chickens . . . have come home . . . to roost!"

Taxation No Tyranny

Hospitalizations for COVID-19 are up in the US over 8k in three weeks, almost 68%

I thought mass vaccination was supposed to reduce serious outcomes?

The crabbed little view of climate from Worcestershire

Something called the "environment manager" from Worcestershire has circulated these charts on Twitter, as if they say something profound about "how things have changed".

Oh really.

.

.

June 1976 vs. June 2021 are compared for temperature anomaly relative to what amounts to a microscopic baseline, 1951-1980. This baseline was doubtlessly cherry-picked because average temperatures were conveniently cooler during this period than both before it and after it.

For my station, KGRR, the June average annual mean temperature during the baseline period is 67.1. But before that it was 67.7, and 68.1 after it.  That little baseline period gives you the maximum anomaly. June 1976 was 2.3 degrees F higher than 67.1, and June 2021 3.8 degrees F higher, but this tells you nothing important.

You can't conclude anything significant from this when there were three hotter Junes than June 2021 in 1987, 1991, and 2005. Hot as it was, June 2021 was cooler than those three Junes. Are we cooling?

In fact, for KGRR since 1892, there were 11 Junes HOTTER than June 2021 all told. And while three of those occurred since the end of the chosen baseline period in 1980 as just mentioned, eight occurred before 1951: June 1919, 1933, 1921, 1934, 1923, 1949, 1894, 1931.

That's 8 Junes before 1951 all hotter than June 2021, and 3 Junes since 1980 which were hotter.

Nothing's really changed. Hot Junes were more frequent in the distant past.

And keep in mind that those global temperature maps aren't based on measurements. Temperatures all over the place aren't "taken". Most are modeled, and many are "imputed" from measurements taken too far away to pass the smell test.

But they are very colorful.

Kamala Harris stands for equity and justice

Equity is forcing you to work for the health of the regime. Justice is executing you if you refuse.

Biden was forever the US Senate's resident clown, and as president he has now brought his clown show to immigration policy

Illegal immigration in the first six months of the Biden administration has EXPLODED. The news is out that there have been ONE MILLION apprehensions at the US border with Mexico just in the first six months of 2021, affectionately spelled "boarder" by the MAGA idiots.

What the news reports don't tell you is that most of this is "catch and release". They aren't deported. Biden is presiding over an invasion of his own making. It's intentional.

Meanwhile in Cubar (h/t Rush), the people are fed up with the free medical care under Castroism, which can't seem to cope with COVID-19. Cuba ranks EIGHTH in the world RIGHT NOW for cases per million, two spots below number six United Kingdom, which also has socialized medicine. The difference is the UK has vaccines which don't work vs. Cubar which has no vaccines which don't work.

Anywho, people want out of Cuba, but BIDEN doesn't want them. Only with the Cubans does he get tough on immigration. The reason, obviously, is that Cubans with the good sense to try to get the hell out of there hate communism and make unreliable future Democrat voters.

The DHS Secretary under Biden is the son of a Cuban refugee, but there he is telling the Cubans fleeing the island that they will not reach the US. It reminds one of nothing so much as the infamous case of Elian Gonzalez in 2000, who was forcibly repatriated to Cuba by another Democrat administration.

Biden is a joke alright, but no one is laughing at the punchline.

The dumbest political take of the week comes from Stephen L. Miller aka @redsteeze

DeSantis is the only name mentioned as a future replacement for Trump. He tacks close or higher than Trump in casual polling, his name is the first that comes up, even among the Trumpist base, as a preferred candidate. This is a burden no politician should be saddled with. The country and the GOP is one Ron DeSantis scandal away from returning to Trump’s awkward embrace in 2024.

More.

Imagine Ronald Reagan in 1975 reading this about himself as he's coming off the governorship of California and preparing to run for the Republican nomination against sitting President Gerald Ford.

"Oh my God. The burden! And I signed that damn abortion legislation in California and if anyone finds out, I'm toast! What oh what should I do?"

If Ronald Reagan were alive today he would laugh out loud at redsteeze. Like any skeleton lurking in DeSantis' closet could possibly hold a candle to the smoldering wreckage left in the wake of the SS Trumptanic.

Ron DeSantis should definitely run against Trump, the biggest LOSER and biggest PHONY to ever make the big time.

Just win reelection in 2022 in Florida first, Ron. And then do run run.

COVID-19 cases are rising in North America and Europe in the summer as would be expected with a seasonal virus

Virus gonna virus. And it laughs at the vaccines.

Africa continues to show that COVID-19 is a seasonal phenomenon with perfect summer-winter oscillation since the onset

Virus gonna virus.

As leftward media bias soars, so does Democrats' trust in media!

 What a cohencidence!

Republicans' trust has not recovered since [2016], while Democrats' has risen sharply. In fact, Democrats' trust over the past four years has been among the highest Gallup has measured for any party in the past two decades. This year, the result is a record 63-percentage-point gap in trust among the political party groups.

While majorities of Democrats have consistently expressed confidence in the media since 1997, this has not been true of independents since 2004. Republicans' last majority-level reading for trust in the media was in 1998.

US hospitalizations for COVID-19 are up about 3,000 June 27-July 10, from 12.2k to 15.2k

Up 25% in 2 weeks, and 15% in less than a week.

Hospitalizations in the range of 12k lasted June 18-July 3, sixteen days, and soared over 2k just from July 4-9.

Preventing serious illness is supposed to be the benefit of the vaccines.

Yet here we are, with 55% of the population having received at least one vaccine dose.

In 2020 global debt to global GDP soared to 356%

Global debt finished 4Q at $281 trillion:  3.56x = $281 trillion, so x = $78.93 trillion global GDP.

US GDP in 2020 was $20.9 trillion, TCMDO was $83.49 trillion (almost 400%).

What could go wrong, right? You are fully invested in stonks, amirite?!

The problem is that the global corporate sector has been caught in the COVID-19 shock with unprecedented levels of financial leverage; global debt on non-financial corporations was $71 trillion at the end of 2018, representing 93% of global GDP.

One hundred and sixty-four acres of the state’s forests are cut down by the biomass industry every day, according to an analysis by Key-Log Economics.
