No surprise: National Health Interview Survey finds just 2.4% of respondents, WHO WERE MUCH SICKER ON AVERAGE, were lesbian, gay and bi

Except the story never does the math to show how small a minority is LGBT, and never once mentions rampant sexually transmitted diseases among perverts because of their promiscuity, just "distress" from "discrimination" leading to increased alcohol and tobacco abuse.

Overall, 67,150 survey respondents were heterosexual, 525 lesbian, 624 gay and 515 bisexual. The average age was about 47.

She came, she saw, she effed it up

Smartest president ever says "forebearers" when he meant "forebears"

Once again, the smartest president ever hatchets the English language, but he'll continue to be portrayed as an intellectual giant in comparison to boobs like Sarah Palin. But "corpseman" lives, along with "intercontinental railroad" and other such gems. The press office transcript spells the word correctly, but of course Obama didn't pronounce it correctly.

As far as I can tell, only The Hill here accurately quoted Obama's mistake (which is on video here at about the 10:50 mark):

"We're going to have to make a decision about whether we are a people who tolerate the hypocrisy of a system where the workers who pick our fruit or make our beds never have the chance to get right with the law, or whether we're going to give them a chance, just like our forbearers had a chance, to take responsibility and give their kids a better future," he said.

Meanwhile The Hill leaves out the "e" and without a proper [sic] demonstrates it probably doesn't know it's a mistake.

Just call us WHUPS, as in whup your ass

For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of the Brits' country

Like her husband, Hillary Clinton did not tell the truth under oath

From the story here:

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Former Secretary Hillary Clinton failed to turn over a copy of a key message involving problems caused by her use of a private homebrew email server, the State Department confirmed Thursday. The disclosure makes it unclear what other work-related emails may have been deleted by the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee. ...

Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton said the November 2010 email cited in the inspector general audit was one of several work-related emails that his group identified that Clinton sent or received but later failed to turn over the State Department.

"Contrary to her statement under oath suggesting otherwise, Mrs. Clinton did not return all her government emails to the State Department," Fitton said. "Our goal is to find out what other emails Mrs. Clinton and the State Department are hiding."

Dilbert knows liberals have to have the presidency because without the Court they've got bupkiss

Hm. Maybe they did knock off Antonin Scalia.

When you encounter a rabid anti-Trumper, ask her what are the biggest concerns of a potential Trump presidency.

If “Supreme Court nominee” is one of the top objections, discontinue your persuasion for ethical reasons. This person has put some thought into the decision and has a legitimate opinion that is at least partly based on reason. I don’t recommend changing that person’s mind.

Janet Daley finds the Cameron-Osborne leadership rather oddly out of touch about Brexit and gay marriage

This disconnect with the people has confirmed the widely accepted view of the Cameron-Osborne Tory leadership as – how to put this? – rather odd. On the one hand, they are so self-consciously modern and anti-traditional that they made gay marriage one of their flagship policies. But on the other, they seem so loftily contemptuous of the real‑life concerns of ordinary people that they make comic misjudgments about the effects of their public pronouncements.

Obama's directly responsible for Orlando, but John McCain is directly responsible for Sarah Palin

Seen here in the comments.

Leave it to a liberal to trivialize mass murder.

Trump throws social conservatives overboard, marginalizes opposition to homosexuality as anti-American, anti-Western

Which would come as quite a shock to the founding generation, whose colonies made homosexuals "universally subject to the death penalty."

From the story here:

Trump also called on Muslim-Americans to turn in members of their community that they suspect of terror links, saying radical Islam isn’t compatible with “Western values and institutions” because it is “anti-woman, anti-gay and anti-American.”

Unfortunately, Trump is wrong on banning weapons purchases and Ryan is correct: It'll become a backdoor to disarm conservatives

If you want to know what could stop me from voting for Trump, this is it.

From the story here:

“A mid-level bureaucrat can put anybody on a no-fly list with no due process rights,” Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) told a local Wisconsin newspaper in December, as Democrats tried unsuccessfully to move the bill following a mass shooting in San Bernardino, Calif.

Visa overstays: ICE official concedes there were 480,000 last year, 5 million total living here illegally, mostly from Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Germany and Italy

Craig Healy, Assistant Director for National Security Investigations at US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, featured here.

Philip Johnston of the UK Telegraph also comes out for Brexit

When trying to explain election outcomes, when trying to explain the polling data . . .

. . . don't forget that 30% of the adults in this country are taking psychiatric medications: 72 million adults over the age of 17 in 2013, approximately 30.1% of the 239 million adults over the age of 17 at the time.

Uh oh, there are more white voters than the exit polls show, and they'll be votin' for Trump

h/t RobeGuy
Gee, do ya think anyone has an interest in suppressing the white vote?

From Michael Barone, here:

The CPS [Current Population Survey by the US Census] and Catalist report that the 2012 electorate was 74 and 76 percent white -- higher than the exit poll's 72 percent. They say that only 15 percent of voters were under 30, not 19 percent as in the exit poll, and that 61 and 62 percent were 45 or older, not 54 percent as in the exit poll.

Most significantly, they peg the proportion of non-college-graduate whites over age 45 -- Donald Trump's core group -- as 30 and 29 percent of voters, significantly higher than the exit poll's 23 percent.

Father of Orlando shooter apparently delusional, says he leads transitional revolutionary government of Afghanistan

Story here.

Ambrose Evans-Pritchard is voting for Brexit because EMU is the greatest economic crime of modern times

From his remarks, here, where it's everywhere else a wonder that he was able to work up the nerve to side with the Leavers:

There has been no truth and reconciliation commission for the greatest economic crime of modern times. We do not know who exactly was responsible for anything because power was exercised through a shadowy interplay of elites in Berlin, Frankfurt, Brussels, and Paris, and still is.

Why Trump will win: Idiot typist at Fortune, Daniel Gross, blames poor May 2016 jobs report on . . . Donald Trump!

And Trump's not even president yet.

Did Obama ever get blamed for anything in eight years?

Not by Daniel Gross, here, a striver of the Democrat sort who's getting a head start on the return of making the future Republican president responsible for everything:

Donald Trump seems to revel in fomenting uncertainty. Trump has consciously set out to violate or alter the norms surrounding political campaigning, and has succeeding [sic] (beyond everyone’s wildest expectations) in doing so.

As a result, all of that uncertainty is likely to give pause to a large number of companies and employees in a range of industries. In fact, it’s possible that May’s poor jobs numbers – only 38,000 payroll jobs were added in the month despite the fact that there were a record 5.8 million job openings at the beginning of the month – have something to do with this trepidation.

The Obama trifecta in Orlando

His beloved queers, slaughtered.

His beloved Muslims, the perpetrators.

His beloved anti-gun zealotry, now unexcelled in history for impotence.

Hillary the Lawless, Schoolgirls & Co. at the State Dept. acted as a law unto themselves: Expect worse as president

From the New York Post here:

But the coverup goes beyond Team Hillary. Marie Harf, State’s top spokeswoman under John Kerry, started lying the day the scandal broke: “There’s no prohibition on using this kind of e-mail account,” she said.

That backs Clinton’s repeated claims that “It was allowed.” Yeah — by her. As the IG report notes, Hillary never sought an OK for her e-mail setup from State’s legal professionals — who never would’ve given one.

“Harf is implying that State approved this practice,” John Bellinger wrote his successors at State’s legal department. He urged them “to defend the credibility” of the legal staff and not let Harf give them “a bad name.” State ignored him.

Trump isn't off-message: Right now Trump IS the message

No one gives a damn about the off-message until things get serious, like two months before the election . . . you know, like October.

Meanwhile, Trump is makin' 'em JUMP!

It's the Trump Jump.

NYT: Tens of thousands of American workers lose their jobs to H-1B temporary visa abuse by American employers, some start to speak up

Does anyone read The Times on Saturday?

According to federal rules, temporary visas known as H-1Bs are for foreigners with “a body of specialized knowledge” not readily available in the labor market. The visas should be granted only when they will not undercut the wages or “adversely affect the working conditions” of Americans. But in the past five years, through loopholes in the rules, tens of thousands of American workers have been replaced by foreigners on H-1B and other temporary visas, according to Prof. Hal Salzman, a labor force expert at Rutgers University.

Now remember class: Expenditures on taller fences only work to protect the president, not the American people

Wow, first time ever surveyed by Rasmussen by telephone

It took almost nine minutes.

Lots of questions about gender and sexuality, nothing about Trump or Clinton.

Ickkkkkkkkkkky.

Obama drives sales of firearms over 141 million with half a year left in his tenure: About 51,000 everyday he's been president!

Obama's Justice Sotomayor is the total and complete racist Americans should be worried about

New York Times transcript of 2001 Sotomayor speech, here, where she says physiological differences may and will make a difference in the administration of justice and make decisions better:

Whether born from experience or inherent physiological or cultural differences, a possibility I abhor less or discount less than my colleague Judge Cedarbaum, our gender and national origins may and will make a difference in our judging. Justice O'Connor has often been cited as saying that a wise old man and wise old woman will reach the same conclusion in deciding cases. I am not so sure Justice O'Connor is the author of that line since Professor Resnik attributes that line to Supreme Court Justice Coyle. I am also not so sure that I agree with the statement. First, as Professor Martha Minnow has noted, there can never be a universal definition of wise. Second, I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life.

Senate Republicans Alexander, Bond, Collins, Grahamnesty, GreggTARP, Lugar, Martinez, Snowe and Voinovich voted to confirm her, 68-31.

The only way Hillary hasn't clinched it is if ordinary delegates were awarded strictly proportionally by popular vote

Clinton has won 56.7% of the total primary popular vote, and Sanders 43.3%.

So if you award ordinary delegates according to that ratio, Clinton gets 2297 and Sanders 1754, both of which fall short of the 2382 needed to win.

But then there's those darn 712 superdelegates . . ..

Divide those up the same way and Hillary clinches it with 2701, and Sanders still falls short with 2062.

As things stand Clinton actually gets 2184 plus 571, Sanders 1804 plus 48.

Sanders remains the plausible alternative if the FBI recommends charges against Hillary, but that's about it.

Hey Paul Ryan, I got your textbook racism right here!

Trump cleans up, sweeps California, New Jersey, Montana, New Mexico and South Dakota averaging 74% of the popular vote

Dilbert creator Scott Adams uncovers the bloodthirst causing Hillary Clinton's chronic cough

This past week we saw Clinton pair the idea of President Trump with nuclear disaster, racism, Hitler, the Holocaust, and whatever else makes you tremble in fear. ... [O]nce you define Trump as Hitler, you also give citizens moral permission to kill him. And obviously it would be okay to kill anyone who actively supports a genocidal dictator, including anyone who wrote about his persuasion skills in positive terms. (I’m called an “apologist” on Twitter, or sometimes just Joseph Goebbels).

Conrad Black: Trump evicting the entire leadership of the Republican Party is unique in US history

The current very strong El Nino now extends to 14 months, averaging 1.5 on the index

We now have three back to back periods of 1.9, 1.6 and 1.1 on the index, indicating the El Nino is winding down rapidly from its high point in November-December-January at 2.3.

Year over year, abnormally dry conditions and worse have been reduced by El Nino rains from 50.73% of the country at the end of May 2015 to 31.82% of the country now, an improvement of just over 37%. Central and southern California remains hard hit.

Grand Rapids, MI, reported temperature anomaly for May 2016 was +1.7 degrees F

Temperature averaged 60.4 degrees F, according to the preliminary monthly climate data for May 2016 in Grand Rapids, MI. The cumulative reported total anomaly year to date rises 1.7 from +7.3 last month to +9.0 degrees F in May. Using the full NOW data set going back to 1892, however, the cumulative temperature anomaly for the first five months of 2016 is +15.9 degrees F.

Snowfall was only a trace in May, still totaling 61.1 inches to date, but now 4.9 inches below the long term mean average of 66 inches, with one month left in the measuring period.

Heating degree days (HDD) in May at 206 were 18.25% below the long term normal for the month. The long term mean expected HDD to date would be 6663. Actual HDD to date were 5596, 16% below normal, thanks to the El Nino, with one month left in the measuring period.

It is notable that neither this El Nino nor any other since 1950 has come close to producing the warm winter Grand Rapids experienced in 2011-2012 when the heating degree day measurement hit an all time record low of 5253. Placeholders two and three for warmest winters by HDD after 2011-12 were 1920-21 at 5520 and 1931-32 at 5619. 2015-2016 looks set to join the list, however, of the top five warmest winters by HDD.

Paul Ryan mistakenly thinks Donald Trump exists to serve Congress' agenda when it's the other way around

Big spending establishment Speaker Paul Ryan voted for Cromnibus

House Republicans are helping shape that Republican vision by offering a bold policy agenda, by offering a better way ahead. Donald Trump can help us make it a reality.

If Americans wanted Congress' agenda the Congress would have a higher approval rating than 18%.

Trump's rating by contrast is 33% in May.

San Jose's mayor Sam Liccardo projects a safer city for Democrats only, not for Donald Trump and his supporters

An angry mob pelted eggs, tomatoes, and bottles at the [Trump] spectators—as well as the police, who tried (and failed) to maintain some semblance of order. Other Trump supporters were set upon and punched. One was left with blood streaming down his face. ... "At some point Donald Trump needs to take responsibility for the irresponsible behavior of his campaign," the [Clinton Democrat] mayor said.

Jack Nicklaus intends to vote for Trump, says we need a lot of what Trump is doing

Story here and here.

Recycling the story from March, presidential candidate Gary Johnson doubles down on libertarianism being of the left not of the right

Former Republican Governor of New Mexico Gary Johnson, running as the Libertarian Party candidate for president, quoted here:

"[L]ibertarians agree with socialism as long as it’s voluntary”.

Libertarian Koch brothers funded American Action Forum finds cost of deportation to be $67,000 per, ICE only $12,500

What a shock.

Ed Rubenstein, here:

One AAF report put the total cost of removing all 11.3 million illegals living in the U.S. at between $420 billion and $619 billion. That is based on the assumption that 20% of the aliens would leave voluntarily [The Budgetary and Economic Costs of Addressing Unauthorized Immigration: Alternative Strategies, By Ben Gitis and Laura Collins, March 6, 2015].

But let’s do the math. Deducting those who would self-deport we are left with 8.96 million illegals that the U.S. government would have to forcibly deport. Dividing AAF’s low and high cost estimates by these involuntary deportees, we arrive at a per deportee cost ranging from $45,000 to $67,000. By comparison, ICE—the government agency in charge of deportations, estimates that it costs $12,500 to deport an illegal alien. [ ICE reveals cost for deporting each illegal immigrant, By Mizanur Rahman, San Francisco Chronicle,  January 27, 2011]. ...

To understand why AAF inflates its deportation cost estimates, just follow the money. Not the Federal tax money: the donor money. The Koch brothers [have] given millions to the forum as part of the now-familiar quid pro quo: our money for your “research” supporting open borders [The newest dark money power player: American Action Network, By Zachary Roth, MSNBC, March 18, 2014]. The Kochs see illegal aliens as a profit center rather than a problem.

Libertarians are so fiscally conservative they don't own any clothes

Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd, suing in class action against Trump University, paid Clintons $675,000 since 2009

Reported here.

USA Today says Hillary broke the rules and recklessly disregarded State Department warnings in 2011 as well as the inquiry from the inspector general

Arrogant bitch.

Story "Hillary Clinton broke the rules: Our view" here.

Despicable Paul Ryan, Congress and Obama stiff-arm Puerto Rico bondholders who will end up fronting the inevitable taxpayer bailout

Paul Ryan is the establishment all the way. And he hasn't changed since 2008. He is not Tea Party, he is not Freedom Caucus, he is not for the taxpayer, period.

From the story here:

In essence, the bondholders will front the money for the bailout while taxpayers would have to pay them back for this cash advance.

This is something that Speaker Ryan and his allies, including the Obama Administration, don't want you to know.

From the remarks here, after the eight minute mark:

"My view is that Donald Trump needs someone who understands Congress, who can help him work with Congress, who understands foreign policy, domestic policy, economic policy," Dole said Saturday. Libertarian Charles Murray warns the world he's writing a book agreeing with Trumpism, but Trump's still not fit to be president

The response to Murray's article at National Review tells the true state of libertarianism today, and everyday.

With 3842 comments as of this moment, the top comment gets 44 up-votes, indicating an agreement rate of 1.1%.

Libertarians can't agree about their own movement let alone about the country. Meanwhile 11.5 million Republican primary voters agree with Donald Trump.

Here's Murray:

We Establishmentarians, therefore, should all go on the record about our view of Donald Trump. That includes me. I have done so in 140-character tweets, but it’s time to elaborate. Apart from that, I have a specific need to go on the record: While I am already on record with my sympathy for the grievances that energize many of Trump’s supporters, I am thinking about writing a book that is even more explicitly sympathetic with those grievances. I want to forestall any suspicion — especially if Trump is elected — that writing in sympathy with some of the content of Trumpism indicates any form of sucking up to Trump the man.

Chicom People's Liberation Army: Just waitin' for the order to Kill, Kill, Kill

Seen here:

China in recent years has turned to animated short films, rock bands and rap music to promote the Communist Party, government policies and the military. An armed forces recruiting video released earlier this month features a rap-rock soundtrack with lyrics such as "just waiting for the order to kill, kill, kill" over a frantic music-video style montage of aircraft, tanks and guns.

The video is here, at the end of which the message couldn't be clearer. An effort is also underway to make Karl Marx cool to the millennial generation of China, which has lost interest (story here).

Unbound delegates pledge support for Trump, giving him 1,238 and securing the nomination

The Associated Press had the story, here:

Trump was put over the top in the Associated Press delegate count by a small number of the party's unbound delegates who told the AP they would support him at the national convention in July. Among them is Oklahoma GOP chairwoman Pam Pollard.

Purple Strategies online poll is pure propaganda, calls people making between $30,000 and $75,000 "working class", says they'll vote for Hillary

Aside from online polls being a joke, this one from Purple Strategies for Bloomberg saying people making between $30,000 and $75,000 are "working class" is as phony as they get:

“If he [Trump] can’t improve his performance among these working-class voters, he may need to build a more conventional Republican coalition to win,” said pollster Doug Usher.

Those are middle class people, not working class, and numbered about 54 million in 2014.

Working class people with whom Trump is wildly popular make up to $30,000 and numbered about 81 million in 2014.

This "poll" is trying to shape perceptions, not measure them.

Lawyers on strike over new taxes in Greece push backlog of cases to the year 2032

Reported here:

Athens lawyer Thanos Koussoulos says self-employed professionals like him will feel the most pain, as the new measures will increase monthly pension contributions, taxable income, and levies on services. "An average lawyer will lose half his income and won't be able to survive," he said, speaking in an empty courtroom. "Every part of society has been affected by these measures, including groups once considered to be privileged. I think it's a good thing they are demonstrating." ... Ironically, the lawyers' strike has added pressure on the government to seek a quick way to raise revenue, as tax cases challenged in court have been held up.
