CDC estimates average annual flu cases 2010-2020 at 29.63 million.
Population for the period averaged 321.6 million, so incidence for the period averaged a little higher than the commonly cited 8%:  9.2%.
 
CDC estimates average annual flu deaths 2010-2020 at 35,900. 
Flu deaths therefore averaged ~ 0.121% on 29.63 million average annual cases over the period, slightly higher than the commonly cited 0.1%.
 
C19 deaths year to date are 351,938 or ~ 1.5% of cases year to date, 12.4x worse than for the flu in the last ten years.

C19 is still the third leading cause of death in the US, right behind heart disease and cancer.
