Well of course LOL: New Apostolic Reformation wackos supporting Trump may be evolving into pro-immigrationistas

Christianity has always meant liberalism. It is one of the religion's many bastard children.

This is from an Atlantic story reproduced here:

On the day after the election, I went to Life Center, the NAR church where Elon Musk had spoken a couple of weeks earlier. The mood was jubilant. A pastor spoke of “years of oppression” and said that “we are at a time on the other side of a victory for our nation that God alone—that God alone—orchestrated for us.”

The music pounded, and people cheered, and after that, a prominent prophet named Joseph Garlington delivered a sermon. He was a guest speaker, and he offered what sounded like the first hint of dissent I’d heard in a long time. He talked about undocumented immigrants and asked people to consider whether it might be possible that God was sending them to the U.S. so they could build the Kingdom.

“What if they are part of the harvest?” he said. “He didn’t send us to them; maybe he’s sending them to us.”

It was a striking moment. Life Center, Mercy Culture, and many other churches in the movement have large numbers of Latinos in their congregations.

The funniest thing about the H-1B controversy is that no one can even spell it, including Roger Simon

Same-sex-marriage enthusiast (((Roger Simon))) says our young people are more backward than the young people of foreign countries, which is exactly the same sort of sneering condescension displayed by federal hog trough feeder Elon Musk and big pharma swindler Vivek Ramaswamy.

People like Roger, who is also a Freudian, worship at the altar of immigrants, "who have built much of this country":

Our educational system is too slow for the pace of tech, students finally learning what they need to know in graduate school when young people in other countries are already utilizing the latest ever-changing tech developments as teenagers.

Apparently our educational system has also failed Roger. He spells it H1-B throughout.

The Tech Bros have never been our friends

"The idea of choking off the amazing flow of immigrants makes me sick to my stomach".

Kamala Harris' dad was way ahead of 2006 Paul Krugman warning in 1988 that immigration hurt native born black Americans

“Trends in international trade have moved against U.S. workers,” [Harris] wrote. “U.S. immigration laws have been modified in ways that increase the influx of low-skilled workers, who compete with native-born youths and low-skilled adult workers for low-skilled jobs.

“This shift has been a particularly serious problem for blacks, who constitute a high proportion of the low-skilled adult workers,” according to the book.

More

The New York Post's Jon Levine laughably tars this as merely a point of view "typical of far-left economic thinking on immigration".

But Marx viewed free-trade as an accelerant of social revolution precisely because it destroyed national identities.

The real revolutionaries who would destroy America are the enthusiasts for mass immigration, which dilutes and replaces the native born patriot population. Paul Krugman joined them in February, infamously flip-flopping to "immigrants make America stronger".

The free-trade libertarians of the Republican Party at The New York Post and The Wall Street Journal and the open borders Democrats are the same party.

Gallup: For the first time in nearly two decades, a majority of Americans want immigration levels to the U.S. reduced rather than kept at their present level or increased

 Here:

Significantly more U.S. adults than a year ago, 55% versus 41%, would like to see immigration to the U.S. decreased. This is the first time since 2005 that a majority of Americans have wanted there to be less immigration, and today’s figure is the largest percentage holding that view since a 58% reading in 2001. The record high was 65%, recorded in 1993 and 1995. ...

The shifts in attitudes have come after monthly illegal border crossings reached record levels late last year. ... Gallup’s monthly measure of the most important problem facing the country finds immigration consistently ranking among the top issues this year. ...

A slim majority of 53% favors expanding the construction of walls along the U.S. border, the first time a majority has been in favor of that policy.

Labour sweeps to UK victory on minor improvement to support as disaffected pro-Brexit and anti-immigration voters abandon feckless Conservatives for Nigel Farage's Reform Party

Keir Starmer to become PM. Have fun stormin' the castle!

Liberal Democrats and Greens made relatively huge gains while the Scottish National Party took it up the kilt. Sinn Fein utterly collapsed lol.

Turnout was low at 60%, the post-war low being 59.4% in 2001.

It's ludicrous. The UK Reform Party got all of four seats for all that damage done to Conservatives. Nigel Farage, 60, is gearing up to make his next big impact in 2029, when he'll be 65. Whoop-dee-doo.

Donald Trump for some reason thinks this is the precise moment we want to hear that he wants to hand out green cards even to community college graduates

I mean, if this dope were a foreigner he'd never get one because he couldn't complete even that:

11 million illegal aliens under Joe Biden isn't enough, apparently.

We could have had Ron DeSantis, but Republicans are as insane as the Democrats.

Who needs FreedomWorks 1984-2024, its mission accomplished by BIDEN letting in 10 million illegals ha ha ha ha ha

The libertarian political action organization FreedomWorks is calling it quits effective immediately as funding evaporates and it is no longer able to sell its pro-immigration and free-trade message to Republicans now transformed into populists by Trump.

Politico reports here.

Fed Chair Jerome Powell Comedy Hour: All those hordes of illegals coming across the border the last two years have been filling the jobs employers couldn't fill, making the economy grow 3%

 The laughs are here:

Fed Chair Jerome Powell: Immigration The Reason Why The Economy Grew 3% In A Year, "We've Needed More People":

Our economy has been short labor and probably still is if you talk to and we do talk to a lot of business people, it is still difficult to hire for many, many companies. So we've needed more people. But what happened over the course of last year is to a much greater extent than had been thought. Immigration moved up quite a bit over the last two years.

Meanwhile, full time as a percentage of civilian population DROPPED year over year in the first quarter, according to the employment numbers out today, from 49.7% in 1Q2023 to 49.2% in 1Q2024.

Kim Strassel: Everyone remembers that Joe Biden invited all these illegals here who are pouring across our border unimpeded by his administration

Biden invited them all during his campaign:

Biden promised millions of them amnesty and citizenship during his debate with Trump:

Kim Strassel, here, on Biden now pretending there's no problem with the millions streaming across.

Kim's lookin' good:

Same old story: The Freedom Conservatives are godless, pro-immigration, free-trade libertarians

 Discussed here by John Fonte:

Unlike in both the Sharon Statement and the National Conservatism Statement of Principles, “transcendent values” and “God” are nowhere to be found in the Freedom Conservatism Statement . . ..

It is no accident that Grover Norquist, Jeb Bush, and mass immigration enthusiasts associated with Koch-funded organizations such as the Niskanen Center and The Bulwark readily signed on to the FreeCon statement. ...

Overall, the share of American imports covered by trade restrictions increased under Reagan from 8 percent in 1975 to 21 percent by 1984.

Michigan's Republican US House members Jack Bergman, Peter Meijer, and Fred Upton vote to turn on immigration magnet, give citizenship to the adult children of H-1B visa holders, the 1.5 million foreigners who already take jobs from Americans

The Roll Call vote is here.

Good a day as any to remember that Alan Greenspan in 2007 explicitly advocated for immigration to suppress the wages of skilled laborers

Greenspan: Let more skilled immigrants in :

"Our skilled wages are higher than anywhere in the world," he said. "If we open up a significant window for skilled workers, that would suppress the skilled-wage level and end the concentration of income."

Yeah, the problem isn't millionaires and billionaires concentrating wealth in their hands, it's the goddamn skilled laborers who must be stopped, the engineers, scientists, doctors and teachers, the crane operators, CDL truck drivers, machinists, drafters, plumbers, craftsmen, cooks and accountants.
