Laugh of the Day: Trump really blew it canceling Pelosi's government flights
He should have waited until she was IN Afghanistan.

Laugh of the Day: German industrial production tanks 4.7% in November, Reuters calls it a tentative sign of slowing growth momentum
The signs were tentative in H1 and worrisome since then. November was a disaster.
[T]here were tentative signs of slackening momentum in the United States and Germany in November.

Laugh of the Day: Trump calls Elizabeth Talking Bull crazy without calling her crazy
The president has this part of politics down pat. Too bad the follow through on policy utterly escapes him.
From the transcript here:
HEGSETH: She says she’s in the fight all the way, Mr. President. Do you really think she believes she can win?
TRUMP: Well that I don’t know. You’d have to ask her psychiatrist. But honestly, I just, you know --

Laugh of the Day: Photographer plays "Simon Says" with Baraboo WI High School boys of the class of 2019
He says, "Sieg Heil!" and then captures their reaction.
The left is finding no humor in this whatsoever. The boys clearly know how to tweak the liberal tyranny, except for the weirdo in the upper right with gunshot wounds to both earlobes, who has predictably become a hero to the outraged for his passive resistance. The guy front and center left goes even further, flashing the secret sign of white nationalists everywhere.
Sieg away, I say, good old Badger State of mine.

Laugh of the Day: Christian Science Monitor suggests "alien invasion" could unite Americans, or "climate change"
Talk about being out of touch.
The latest invasion is on the way from Honduras as we speak and the last thing I expect to see is Democrats and Republicans unite to stop it.
Instead Democrats intend to welcome the invasion with open arms.
Here:
The parties could also unite to solve an overarching national goal. The problem here is, what? Absent an alien invasion requiring Americans to pull together, what goal would suffice? Some experts suggest climate change, but that would require Republicans to change position and favor more active intervention on the issue.

Laugh of the Day: Axios/Politico co-founder complains reporters always seem to prove they are leftists on social media, should hide it to deceive!
Jim VandeHei.
Here:
Media: News organizations should ban their reporters from doing anything on social media — especially Twitter — beyond sharing stories. Snark, jokes and blatant opinion are showing your hand, and it always seems to be the left one. This makes it impossible to win back the skeptics.

Laugh of the Day 2.0: Boris Johnson objects to "The New English Letter Box"
Quoted here:
"If you say that it is weird and bullying to expect women to cover their faces, then I totally agree," he said.
"I would go further and say that it is absolutely ridiculous that people should choose to go around looking like letter boxes."
And he added that "a female student turned up at school or at a university lecture looking like a bank robber" he would ask her to remove it to speak to her.
Laugh of the Day: Socialist Jew invested in being white gets the bad news that just being white makes him a racist
Isaac Chotiner: What could a white person in America in 2018 do to not be racist, or do you believe that’s impossible?
Robin DiAngelo: Well, I have to ask you a question I forgot to ask you earlier. What is your racial identity?
Isaac Chotiner: I’m white. My family’s originally from Eastern Europe.
Seen here.

Laugh of the Day 2.0: Liberal blogger breaks the rules, reveals source to FBI because it advanced her politics
Liberals always view rules as impediments to their political ends, and break them at will.
Wheeler, who has written blog posts about national security for almost 15 years, is clear that she wasn't motivated to talk to the FBI because she is out to get Trump. She certainly doesn't like him, but she is also not at all a Hillary Clinton fan. But what motivated her recent revelation that she went to the FBI has plenty to do with politics: She is disgusted by the way House Republicans are, in her view, weaponizing their oversight responsibilities and making it all too likely that FBI informants will have their names revealed - and their safety threatened. "It infuriates me," she wrote, to observe the "months-long charade by the House GOP to demand more and more details about those who have shared information with the government . . . all in an attempt to discredit the Mueller investigation."
Marcy Wheeler (a.k.a. "emptywheel") is an American independent journalist specializing in national security and civil liberties. Wheeler publishes on her own site, Emptywheel, established in July 2011. She makes occasional contributions to the commentary and analysis section of The Guardian, progressive news site Daily Kos, The Huffington Post, and Michigan Liberal. Between early December 2007 and July 2011 Wheeler published primarily on Jane Hamsher's FireDogLake (FDL) and prior to that on The Next Hurrah. ... She campaigned for Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean in 2004, and is a former vice chairwoman of the Washtenaw County Democratic Party.
